Thanks to All for a great success!
Dear Angel Festival Supporters, Volunteers, and Friends,
Alyssa, our team, and I want to thank each of you for your support of the Sewanee Angel Festival. We've all heard "it takes a village", and this holds true in organizing, planning, and pulling off a successful AngelFest as well. Last night was a huge success on so many levels.
It is our pleasure to sponsor another year of fun kids activities. We hope each year that children experience a variety of enjoyable educational activities, yummy festival treats, face painting, animal petting and holding, and safely working out some of their wiggles on the inflatables. Thank you to the individuals, organizations, and businesses that participated (every bit of their time and supplies were donated). From everything we saw and heard, the kids activities were a great success!
Of course there wouldn't be any kids activities if we didn't piggy back on the original Angel Festival laid out years ago by the SBA - the Sewanee Business Alliance. If you are not familiar with this organization, please get familiar with it. The SBA is made up of local business owners who constantly and consistantly work to build community relationships. The SBA is responsible for the beautiful Angel Park, and it sponsors many community events. You can support the SBA by purchasing bricks and benches in the park, renting the Angel Park for private events, supporting SBA member businesses, or if you are a business owner, by becoming a member of the SBA. The SBA coordinated the fantastic music, and organized the highly successful reverse raffle to support the Community Action Committee. Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket (or several raffle tickets) that helped us exceed our goal - over 200 raffle tickets were sold!! Thank you, thank you, fellow SBA members, for making Sewanee "A nice place to visit, and a great place to live" (quote by our very own John Owsley last night to a Sewanee visitior).
A huge thank you to Debbie Blinder of Full Circle Candles. Debbie organized and put into action a thought we had a few years ago to invite local crafters to the Angel Festival. Debbie took that idea and ran with it! Many thanks to the vendors and small family farmers who came and participated.
And now its time to begin the count down till next year's AngelFest. We'd love to get feed back: suggestions, ideas, what you or your family really loved, etc.
Sincerely,
Joseph and Alyssa Sumpter joseph@josephsremodelingsolutions.comPS Please enter your email address in to the blog to recieve emails when we post new blogs.
